Hey all, sorry to be away so long. I am officially not working, and thanks for all the encouraging comments. And wouldn't you know, that second week home my puter died. I have this sorry one which I plan on changing out tomorrow, it is a loner. So if you don't hear from me for awhile it will be because i am trying to settled and set up on a new one.  Hey all, hope everyone has a great weekend planned. I went to the Dr. yesterday and he gave me some disturbing news. He said I would have to limit my activities at work as it is putting a strain on my heart. He gave me restrictions, I turned it in at work and you guessed it, they told me they couldn't use me there anymore. I am not allowed to pick up anything over ten pounds, and when I have active chest pain, despite the meds, I am to be allowed to sit quietly for about 30 minutes. In a production factory I don't think that is going to happen. So far they have been really great about accepting my condition, but I don't blame them for not wanting me there as I pose a health and safety threat. If I start to have chest pains, which I have for the last 3 days, and I have to stop, it causes someone else to not only have to do my work, but there's as well. And if I should have a heart attack, it could cause injury to someone else and I would feel so bad about that. Everyone I work with are great people and I would hate to be a burden to them. They work hard enough already. So, gracesouly, I took my leave. So now, I will have more time to bug everyone here! There is always an upside to everything. I believe what my dear ol' granma used to say, " For every door that closes, another shall open."

 Hey all, been a little busy with working on the project for Conrads room. It's going to be so cute. My niece and her husband thinks it is a great idea. I will take a picture and post when I get through. We have finally got a break from the heat. It rained this morning, which I slept through, and cooled things down about 10 degrees. Lovin' it.

   I would like to take a moment and welcome some new friends who have added me to their list. You are always welcome to drop by or e me. I don't always get around to all of my friend's spaces but this doesn't mean I don't appreciate you. Between working and art I keep pretty busy. After the last couple of heart caths and incidents of near heart failure, I choose to do most of my activities outside or with family. I do, however, check my space daily(to get my horoscope.......just kidding) and do see your messages and gifts. Sometimes I even get to visit other places to catch up on the latest.

 Just came from the ol' family reunion. I don't know if it's me or the fact so many of our family members have moved so far away, or died out, but there just doesn't seem to be as many coming to the reunion. I mean, there were sixteen kids in my dad's family, and each one had from 4 to 7 kids each, count their kids and so on. But we all had a good time. I understand a lot of cousins and aunts and uncles couldn't make it, either from jobs, new births, or illness, but those are usually the ones you want to see the most. I ended up going because of a cousin of mine that put a guilt trip on me. She said if she could make a ten hour drive, then I should be able to make the 25 minute drive to see her. Brutle don't you think? My dad's cousin who is 96 drove herself to the reunion so I made the trip just so I wouldn't be tagged the bad one. Like I said, we had some great food, good company and a wonderful surprise. My dad's sister had some old photos of my mom and dad I had never seen before. They were photos of dad and mom when they were first married and had just come here from Germany. My mom was actually skinny. Mom was always "plump" as far back as I can remember. My newest sister-in-law saw one of the photos and said who is that guy shari is with? That was my mom. She couldn't get over the fact I look so much like her, I'm just taller. Mom was 4'10", I'm 5'4". Same dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.

  Update on Conrad, he is gorgeous. Just the most handsome baby ever! And to our surprise (my brothers and I) his middle name was changed to Liam at the last minute. He was weighed in at 8lbs. 2oz, 20 1/2inches. Beautiful black hair and dark complexion, (it's the Cherokee) we are so proud of him. Of course he couldn't make it to the reunion, he wasn't released from the hospital until noon today. But he will be there next year.

  It is so miserable hot. It's 102 and the heat index is 111. So we were concerned about the elderly family members and tried to hydrate them pretty good before they left. I told dad to let his truck run and cool before heading home, hope he listened.

  Anyway, have a cooler tomorrow everyone.
