Hey all, I know it has been awhile since I have been around, but I have been busy. Thanks to my friends that have been here and left little gifts, I really appreciate them. I have recently posted more of my art on Fine Art America if anyone is interested they can go to http://shari-smith.fineartamerica.com and view some of my stuff. It's not all that great, but drawing is my getaway happy place and it is a way for family in other states to see what I do. I do pieces for my grandchildren, who are my biggest fans. They know the love that is put into it for them. That is all that matters to me. I don't profess to be a great artist and I don't do it to make a living at it (please!) but it brings me a quiet peace to be involved in creating something from within.  Just a little note to wish all the fathers a Happy Fathers Day weekend. I am going up in the hills tomorrow to spend the weekend with dad. He called this morning to ask me to come up. I told him I was going to surprise him by coming without calling, but that's ok. He said, "You know Sunday is Fathers Day." I said, Yea dad, I know, that's why I was coming up. I know he was hinting for a gift. He is very subtle you see. I have something in mind, but won't be able to get it until tommorrow before I leave. I think he will like it. He has everythig already and it is hard to find him something. He is like me he is easy to please, but he keeps everything forever and in good shape so it's hard to surprise him. Everything has been going great for him since the fibulator placement. He sounded really strong. He has been mowing the lawn, washing and waxing the car and his truck, and going to the Music Hall on the weekends and church on Sundays. He said he has resumed song leader duties again. I asked him if the fibulator helped him sound better, he laughed and said no, just louder. I guess that's what counts. He said God and everybody can hear him now.   

    

As I was saying, they deserve to spend their summer enjoying, relaxing and having a good time. It is summer vacation right? Oh well, I love to spend time with them, they are so fascinating. From the teens, to the babes. Different ages, different personalities. Yea, I guess you could say I am a proud grandma. Have a great weekend.
